Chi Kung Holidays

Though we don’t always call them ‘Chi Kung holidays’, a lot of our weeks feature Chi Kung. For example, our ‘fuck it weeks’ feature Chi Kung as a primary technique.

Incidentally, let’s clear up this spelling thing first. If you read ‘Qi Gong holidays’ or ‘Qigong holidays’, it’s all the same thing. People that are really into Chi Kung / Qi Gong spend a lot of (very relaxed) time talking about how to spell it. One thing is for sure: you say it like this – chee kung.

Chi Kung means ‘practice with energy’. The Chinese energy art is as broad as yoga – it contains many disciplines and practices. But the essence of it is always the same: slow movement or meditation to allow your chi to flow more harmoniously. Practising Chi Kung, in whatever form leads to feelings of calm and peace, and often leads to healing (for those that aren’t fully well, of course).

So on any of our Chi Kung holidays, you’ll learn some forms (of slow movement) and how to relax so much that you can’t remember what ‘stress’ and ‘anxiety’ ever meant.

To choose a Chi Kung holiday, click on 'programme' and you’ll find all the dates of our Fuck It weeks as well as a specific Chi Kung holiday week, such as with Master Bisong Guo in May, or with Matthew Rochford in June and September.
